The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 为失控玩家到涨到8分增加一个四星，八月最喜欢的大银幕电影，没看的快去看，找个巨幕厅。
没什么负担的纯娱乐片，所以也没必要试图在这样的片子里寻找意义和深度。不过不知道为什么，观影情绪总觉得差一口气，没有那种很爽的感觉，搞笑的部分也不太够。感情线更是看得我？？？结局爱情线的处理太草率了吧？我还以为会针对这部分稍微深入一下来着，有点失望。特效真的很漂亮，有很强烈的游戏感，这点我觉得是最优秀的地方了。可能是因为头号玩家拉高了我的期待值，这部稍稍感觉不够劲儿。【7.8】
好久没在大屏幕看到这么精彩的商业片了 前一个小时剧情信息量爆炸 虽然雷诺兹这个人黑历史一堆 但是身材真的太好了 普通的卡其色裤子配蓝色短袖的工装都那么有型。。。 女主一个人拉高了其他所有人演技水平
好看程度可以五星的，各种游戏梗、漫威、星战都有蹭到👌🏻少一星是因为拒绝接受结尾回归三次元恋爱，这不是直接否定了前面铺垫这么多的AI觉醒吗？不还是纸片人不配有自己的独立意识？拒绝接受❌（也可能是太爱RR了。

说不出哪里特别好，也说不出哪里不好，反正……就像那句歌词：何不游戏人间？
回去后要把gta翻出来玩一会，并且友善地对待NPC们。
彩蛋肯定没有头号玩家来得多来的惊喜，不过美队出来那一刻太惊喜了，后来发现狼叔和强森都有参与，不过是配音，整体效果确实不错很欢乐，IMAX的荧幕效果也非常爽。
设定固然不新鲜，剧情也颇套路，但还是获得了很多乐趣，光剑什么的让我一秒激动起来了，漫威彩蛋就没感觉，最后处理跨次元恋爱的方式也算不错。ps：查宁塔图姆still got it！
今年目前最棒的一部。没想到故事这么精彩，人物非常鲜活。NPC玩家发展出自己的个性，简直是人性的光辉。从喜剧片到轻微的哲思，到爱情，无缝转换。
3.5⭐又一桶纯娱乐爆米花🍿虽然我可能更喜欢头号玩家，但是笑点满满，还有一丝小浪漫，全程看的很开心，这种NPC和游戏玩家玩梗还是满好玩的，游戏人生，我要自己做主，想做什么就做什么!好爽～😁
还不错的爆米花吧……一年多没进电影院了我的耳朵有点适应不了电影院的音量，一场看完差点聋了；心脏还要跟着各种轰鸣爆炸声共振，这场电影看得我literally很心累……
好多梗好好笑/钱老板最好笑/CE好帅/我好想看新的星战电影…………
