The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 太牛了，设身处地不敢想，伟大的卫国战争，伟大的反法西斯战争。

Box office - Budget : $200,000,000 (estimated)，迪士尼花这么大投资拍这样一部奇幻冒险片，为什么就不多下点功夫编写更有意思的剧本呢？（还是编剧、制片、导演们真觉得这样的剧情足够有趣？）
感情戏请的那种不会让演员好好说话的台湾导演；

那个年代的苏联英雄都很猛，真正的布尔什维克，但客观来说，电影制作一般，战争场面，丛林里的荒野求生，英勇救人的铁匠一家，处理的都不够到位，可以更好。
把一个那么暴躁的人放在911接线员这个位置就有点那啥
虽然没有那种俄式硬核英雄的大战争场面，但催人泪下的煽情模式也不错。
2、几个有趣的点：以往是英雄救美人，这次是反过来；迪斯尼的电影中出现了同性恋角色，有进步！
7分。空战部分的场面很不错，并不算激烈，大量时间是在相互追逐，可并不觉得无聊。而雪地逃亡的戏码就有些普通了，铁匠一家挺可怜的，卫生兵最后时刻的牺牲真的让人扼腕。最后苏联英雄们的照片集锦和生涯介绍看得好感动~~
两大主角吸睛，欢乐爆米花情节，迪士尼主题乐园宣传片。
战斗民族主旋律，既然是主旋律，就别要求太多了噶
俄国如今拍战争片，服化道都不错，2021一下子三部空战大片，空战段落的质感如出一辙，都有点杂技般的炫酷感。荒野求生桥段还算合格，其他段落太贫弱，妻子就像是一个被操控的纸片角色，最后以机场全员致敬主角推高潮，又偷懒又尴尬。
So typical... 也不是说它不好看，就是这种精致的流水线产品吧。不过挺喜欢Lily这姑娘的。开头那段Frank带游客走参观流程的那段，也许是米老鼠的自嘲？就这种主题项目搞不好就是员工自嗨游客迷惑且尴尬的场面。。
不好看，一点动作场面都没有，全程在一个房间里打电话，通过主角面部表情和对话来推剧情，这类电影很无聊啊！

剧情套路不是问题，主要是白左到让人脑壳疼。而且凭什么怂弟弟是gay，直男不能娘炮吗？在21世纪的语境里，如何处理殖民时期探险家的历史，还真是个问题。但首先要正视人的复杂，以及特定历史中人的存在，而不是非黑即白地表达“殖民者是坏人，原住民是好人”，《与狼共舞》《阿拉伯的劳伦斯》算是这方面做的不错的电影，但新千年没了。因为白人觉得自己已经没有审视那段历史的权力，而亚非拉人民又没有接棒。
