The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? (看的时候一直在讲要是台湾片估计要被夸上天了，最后看完才知道是翻拍，但是也不影响，有些镜头抓的真的很好)
大陆这个翻拍电影价值观是真不行……男队花泳本来就是为了打破一些刻板印象，到翻拍这里就变成了固化刻板印象了。

没看过原版，单纯感觉这版还是很清爽的，虽然部分剧情仍不免俗套，但没有玛丽苏没有洒狗血更没有堕胎，新人表现也是可圈可点。印象深刻的部分除了结尾的高能时刻，还有张伟两段情绪失控的地方：“不是每个人都是你！”以及抖音“太难了”
最有意思的是这个导演还拍了赤狐书生。一个脱离了迎合奇怪市场需求的导演，也可以拍出截然不同的，意气昂扬的青春片。记得原版更加纯粹，更加青春，但这个翻拍版也挺好的。不过最后的表演好到过于魔幻了，一下就间离效果了，把人从感动中抽出来了。
