The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 成年人冰冷的世界需要孩子来融化。好喜欢录音的部分，倾听是一种触碰城市和人内部肌理的最好方式。华金绝了，自带忧郁气质，用表演奠定了整部片的基调。
特别适合为人父母or老师的人看。孩子的世界，是一个另外的世界，可惜我们长大以后就忘记了……

舅舅和外甥，孩子的想法很简单，无法让人感到快乐的成熟，就是无用的。成年人习惯用一种成熟的说辞，去掩盖自己的无能为力，借此逃避和面对那些我们本该面对和解决的。但那不是真的成熟。直到被孩子一语道破，这才发现成年人的这种徒劳的自我安慰才是一种幼稚。无论是大人，还是孩子，都是不完美的。
还挺喜欢处理冲突记忆的镜头，把声音抹去，覆盖上当下的平静的叙述声音，再把镜头慢慢拉近拉远，像极了我自己跟回忆和解的方式。
杰昆真的是治愈系演员，感觉他很喜欢这一类性格的边缘化角色，有着感性温柔的内心，有着自己的脆弱，just trying to understand others , like all of us.常常会忍不住和他的角色产生共鸣，觉得那简直就是自己。
小男孩演的好自然 黑白的城市远景 流畅的衔接 执拗但又亲密的几处引用穿插 微微有点腻过头 采访小孩的纪录片最后会做出来吗
采访里非演员孩子的叙述，其分量是片子本身无法承受的。电影的轻快和随性托举不起生活在真实世界之下孩子们面临的种种问题，从而让采访片段和情节本身脱节了
很温馨很沉闷的片子，采集到的声音真好听啊，但是滤波得到的信号就是真实的吗？
1.多少有点无聊，而且2021了，还是黑白，虽然黑白可能更好表达

就是冲着华金去看的，感觉有必要补齐他的序列。3.5是比较细腻片子，没有过多的事件，大部分感受产生在叔侄之间的对话里，但不是那种很闷的类型，因为对白承载了一定的叙事。小演员表现挺不错的，很自然，剧本本身没有给太多华金表演发挥的空间，算在水准之中。 小孩子不作，也挺麻烦的，尤其是他还有个某种意义上的精神病父亲，所以想扮演他父亲这个角色更麻烦了
感觉男孩的原生家庭和男主的纪录片项目各是一道命题，两边结合的还不够好。
好久没看黑白片了，摄影很棒，穿越过四个风格各异的美国城市，这样的色调也不会喧宾夺主。需要跟影像和时间一起放慢下来去体验这两位主角之间的bonding，孩子对世界的思考，成年人的焦虑。Over the years, you will try to make sense of that happy, sad, full, empty, always-shifting life you're in.
