The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 无法settle down的状态，孤独的公路片。手持带来了不稳定的质感，人物状态体现在构图中，天空被遮蔽的时候主角面临选择困境，上路的时候天空重新占据画面主体。对话场景的设计也很有趣，一方面沿用了斯科塞斯的设计，拍普通人时总是有其他人出现在前景中，拍流浪者时总是孤独的个体。最后主角从镜头中走出，与车融为了一体，似乎也是另一种settled down。7
目前看过最有诗意的公路片，赵婷牛逼。科恩嫂作为一个被现代社会驱逐的流浪者，演出了一种被流放的孤独感。我不免也有一种巨大的隔离感。但当她踏入水流，将身体赤裸地浸入溪水中，这种与自然无间隙的贴合。让人开始怀疑，是不是自己才是被自然流放的那个人。
一个孤独女人的史诗，导演拍摄的风平浪静，科恩嫂却演绎出了情绪下的暗潮涌动。电影克制的恰到好处，是一部相当成熟的作品。
“要有多坚强，才敢念念不忘”。
这一场旅途是如何开始的？或许是离群索居的独特，也或许是心里放不下的一个人。只是不想停下来，诗意吗，孤独吗，快乐吗，幸福吗？
不止于公路片，不是漫无目的地追求自由，而是除了自由已一无所有。

3.5星吧。感觉有点碎。最打动我的竟然是最后的一句“See you down the road."
天呢，扑面而来的实感，是电影化的实感，观影过程好享受，剧作仍然看似松散但不露声色的捕捉着人物，女主太优秀，完全溶于环境，感觉这部确实比前作《骑士》在剧作上更高明。好看好看。2021第一部5星电影给赵婷导演。
其实更喜欢<骑士>啦，这部也不赖，但也不至于惊叹好得过分，你能看到一个人而非只是个女性与这个世界自处的方式，和解真的存在吗？越过山水，才知道答案。
