The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 借作家死后归乡之旅以及多个文本，来表达导演自己的告别，情绪很满，有时候超出了内容本身。归乡部分描述了战后意大利的社会百态和情感归宿，情緖不至于空乏没有着落。最后的《钉子》，继续在精神上（包含合作）对逝去表态，完成告别。
大型古裝奇幻山路電影，光影拍的真的很漂亮很有特點，但故事有什麼寓意麼？沒看出來…
The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

第一次在上海电影博物馆看的电影，老实说没看懂。但是里面追逐男主的狐狸突然strike back：之前Stephen和菲编连线，Stephen说神父的狐狸是“天堂的猎犬”，也就是神的化身，追逐感化背弃信仰选择俗世欢愉的人。
骑士 狐狸 巨人 女巫 树皮怪 动不动没头的中世纪啊
断断续续又迷幻不清的片段，可能这是英国历史的文言文吧

有种朱拉亚库比斯克的感觉，想到了《吸血女伯爵》有喜欢的地方，摄影不错，还有华丽的运镜。故事呈现的也挺好

制作升级了，也塑料了，DP不知道是不是同一个人但减分了。文本中后段城堡段有点破节奏。肯定不如魅影，但依然是好电影。腰带就像那个肆无忌惮的保障，自由却并不存在。导演应该赚到钱了吧！！
