The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication.     完美的承接了去年的《2020去死》，依然是半纪录片、半伪纪录片的形式，去回顾在2021年美国发生的一些大事件，大部分演员都回归参与，同时增加了媒体人的部分，用十分戏谑的方式去嘲讽他们这一年发生的各种乱象，比如国会冲击事件，比如特朗普与拜登选票事件和美国的撕裂，比如阿富汗撤军事件，比如当下美国疫情的混乱局面，以及媒体的完全不负责任，比如对比阿富汗军人和美国人的区别（网红的那段话，真的太讽刺了，都是喜欢派对和枪啊），比如商业巨头开始考虑太空移民和元宇宙事件，比如明星被封杀事件，还调侃了他们欧美剧集过于政治正确的问题，将民众的反智、政府的无能、媒体的无良、商人的自私都展现了出来，简直就是荒诞他妈给荒诞开门，荒诞到家了。2021过去了，2022他们还会怎样的作死呢？
