The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 荒诞戏谑滑稽可爱，想象力爆炸，笔墨画面流畅，东方韵味十足，细想还挺有深意，不错不错
画面很美观，不过从剧情的角度，个人还是觉得《大闹天宫》更精彩些。至于这部作品本身，反派的塑造明显比主角更生动
2021.11.6在电影院再次看到了4K修复版。音乐🎶好棒。每个人物造型都很有趣。最后一个画面（袁公被带走，蛋生不舍的呼喊师傅），电影院里一个小朋友，哭的哇哇的……说明电影真的好棒。
剧本并不能说特别好，但妙在各自之间，每个角色的独特设计与演出，以及角色与场景的融洽。相比日本动画擅长的横轴延展，本作呈现中国动画的形式在于多处化横向银幕矩形为局部视野，以纵向徐徐拉开一幅幅卷轴画，上至云顶，下至城邑，天界人间的神话体系早已决定着这种现代演绎形式。

《天书奇谭》最让我感动的是影片最后一段的纪录片，不由得感叹老一辈艺术家们的用心，他们在追求艺术的道路上一丝不苟，每一个部门都有着相同的目标，这不单是物质的快乐，更是精神的升华。
