剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     就一开始被这个光影和几个影帝影后的表演给震慑到了，正要打个高分的时候，回过味来，却依然觉得故事还是那样，人物也没有突显出来，更多的是戏剧化的表达，可以说是把话剧搬到了荧幕，话剧与电影的结合是做的不错的，依靠于那精细的光影，但是故事却因为要应和这个光影而略显得薄弱。

    对于莎翁经典的再度演绎，这一版相较于影史上较为著名的奥逊威尔斯和黑泽明的版本，亮点在于黑白摄影和极简的服化道美术，以及更加具有舞台剧质感的表演和置景，所以这一部4：3的画幅更像是看了一场舞台剧。没想到导演是科恩兄弟的哥哥，出品方是影迷的老熟人厂牌A24。

    I have no words it’s so well made in every single aspect. I loved the witches, the birds, the leaves, the girl in the water, the monologue. Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington are THE actors of their generation. Will need a rewatch with subtitles in the future.
