The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看了点映，基本满场，好多男生来看。主要讲鉴宝、寻宝。用电脑特效画面来讲解古董，通俗易懂，活灵活现。非常值得一看的电影。
1、故事、人物都很拉垮，局中局也比较容易识破，看到“阴在阳之内”就已经猜到了结局；2、硬凹一些很尬的cp笑点，李现造型合格但声音太出戏，幸好还有葛优拉回一点好感度。
如果说扬名立万是剧本杀，那么古董局中局就是密室逃脱。从许爸生前住所开始，墙壁内古董排列的摩斯密码FUGUI，馗市沈爷拍品阴阳子母镜，郑家村后山张僧繇的画，济公庙的观音像，地下室的假佛头，以及逃生通道。

7，没有小说基础，感觉还是挺不错的，有的转场比较楞，冒险动线很传统但比较小众，解谜有些赶，参与性不算强，不过寻宝片基本都是如此。动荡的年代，广阔的国土容不下一件完整的文物，吾辈当自强啊。
古董界的汉奸家族昭雪，三代人坚守失落的国宝。虽然看得出压缩了很大的信息量，但是基本上在电影的有限时长里，导演的完成度还是比较高的。影片开头就通过雷佳音的一个小“局中局”的把戏为全片定调，后面的剧情一步步推进，让人始终觉得破解的答案，是否还是局的一部分，不知身在局中还是局外。利用各种古董器物和背景历史文化设计的谜题，也是引人入胜的好桥段。
6.5 不烂但也没超出预期，片荒时期可以看，有个不得不吐的超级bug，全片追寻真佛头在哪，结果就这？当年送出去的即是假佛头又是真佛头，所以许爷爷到底算不算汉奸？！许爷爷怕不是穿越过时空，精准预判了未来走势，就很迷……全片最佳还是葛大爷，出场自带笑点的男人，李现还是有那么点儿格格不入
最后竟然都下墓了，苦大仇深的守护者却要以轻飘飘的解谜来呈现出来，果真是障眼法了。
像是部三十集的电视剧用二倍速加快进的方式讲完了整个故事 铺垫多 节奏乱 没水平就不要乱起范儿
结尾的解密对于不了解故事的人来说，简略得唐突，误导一些想法简单的观众，扯什么汉奸论，怀疑日本人不会还回来（已经误导所有人那是赝品），更别提某些人原本的认知扭曲——日本人才能保护中国文物
还不错，坚持看完了。没有代入感，总出戏，演员太熟了。
鉴宝那部分特效很6，流畅到飞起，以为这样视觉冲击会让人忽略剧情。。。火车剧情是在致敬天下无贼？真的包着假的还是真的，洗白汉奸大可不必
马伯庸大师的各种按照线索的推理完全没有展现。
原著看了开头一部分就看不下去了，影片的解谜寻宝的过程还是可以的，但各部分衔接较差，整体象电视剧水平，太平淡。
话说你爷爷就那么确定人家会把国宝给你送回来，还会指定要你的后人来长眼？
但在80%的电影中都相对契合，那就是葛优，
作為一部以闖關奪寶為基本敘事線的影片，其設置的關卡可謂名目繁多，摩斯電碼、天干地支、真偽文物、陰陽、八卦、圍棋無所不用其極，初看挺有意思，愈往後便愈令得觀眾審美疲勞。而且，主角父親何以斷定七歲即與其分離的兒子能够實踐如此複雜的解碼？（與其如此，寫一手諭“砸開佛頭”豈非更直截了當？）又何以預測日本人將來必定小白兔似的將佛頭完璧歸趙？（這關係到該片何以成其為一種民族主義或愛國主義的敘事。）從未同祖父謀面、又早早被父親拋弃的主角，又從何獲得達到業內頂尖水准的文物鑒定“家學”？（這裡則又是“高手在民間”的敘事套路。）一部必須講求縝密邏輯的推理電影，卻在諸多情節和行為的合理性問題上容不得細想，不能不說是種硬傷。2021年12月13日17:40於SFC廣州2號廳。

6.5分吧，有1分主观分，对盗墓鉴宝解密几脉相传家族这一题材真的很和我胃口，只要是工业标准制品，别太网剧太拉夸，我都会很喜欢。且鉴宝部分特效偏多，多次暂停去看细节也很给力，很多地方小镜头伏笔也做的很好，多次回看了。但bug很多，人物关系行为动机也很乱，但我上头了之后看了几集电视剧，就原谅了，故事背景太大了，如果电影不做删减，不在紧凑的情节中迅速构建形象（虽然很扁平），剧情不好叙事啊。很喜欢，希望可以出第二部电影，因为电视剧节奏一如既往无意义的漫长，且特效剧情服道化塑料感极强！！！
