The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. ᐈ女主小女孩演的真好
设定还行，可以在很多人身上穿来穿去，体验不同的人生，即使只有短短12小时，但是拍的又混乱又无聊，看完只觉得浪费时间
半小时，看不下去了，同样讲drag queen，pose比这个的立意深刻多了...
这个剧作本就非常一般，音乐剧版的成功很大程度上倚赖于舞台冲击力和John McCrea。影版其实没什么做错了的地方，甚至把Loco Chanel 那首歌改成This was me我更喜欢更感动。但小男主的方方面面就是差一点，就是力度不够，可爱有余，气场不足。而我永远忘不了曾经看John一眼就被夺走呼吸念念不忘几年的感觉。
与众不同不意味着可以极端自私，杰米这种自我中心的个性不知道和母亲的保护有多少关系，但就算在这个年代，也不意味着别人会无条件的接受你。主配角都很工具人，哪个角色都很平面，以至于越看越无趣。
但我更喜欢剧院局限舞台的天马行空
打的爽，科幻方面其实不算高明，但是奉献了一大堆好的男配表演
特别适合在电影院观看的一部电影，动作和视觉效果非常好，情节紧张刺激。虽然剧情上有些bug，但并没有太大的影响。最后的枪战有点帅。
女主竟然是人间中毒上的，头发短了纯粹认求不得了啊
开始还不错，最后烂尾了。女主太让人调戏了，拍多了那种片，演动作片也总让人想起那种场面。男主还是犯罪都市让人恨。

其中最让人感动的，自然就是杰米的妈妈。她从来都在背后支持着杰米，作为一个单亲母亲，全力的支持着儿子的梦想，她一个如此令人敬佩的母亲形象。妈妈永远都是杰米最忠实的粉丝。
故事设定还行，算是有趣，完成度也还可以。不过叙事的清晰度上差一些，故事略显凌乱，同时整体有些中规中矩，没有什么太亮眼的点
开头就被吸引了，电影里的感情也太感人了，亲情友情全都让人感到很温暖，至于老爸不要也罢。有机会会去看音乐剧！
