The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 或许是因为版本的不同，或许是因为那个特殊时期，那时候的感受更加设身处地一些，看到危机时候的互帮互助，以至于那时哭的很厉害。9.11二十年之际，没有谁会忘记那次悲痛，对于整个人类来说，都是一次巨大的反思。rock小镇是那样的开放，包容，I am islander！！！那些乘客，在危机面前，是那样的从容与乐观。机长姐姐的“me and sky”依然是全场的聚焦点。
911导致飞机迫降，一大堆来自世界各地不同的语言、信仰、性向、饮食的陌生人被迫隔离封闭在一个小岛。导致的个体巨大的孤独、断层感，与世界割裂崩塌(虽然生活扔要继续)，失去一切被无力所吞噬，在困境中如同cosplay的异样。承受着同样的割裂与孤独的人们无法忍受新闻，走出家门为陌生人做点什么，用宽容与爱去对抗这一切的故事。
我记得第一次看是在第一次艺考的那个冬天看的现场盗摄版，北京下了初雪，我躲在被窝里看这部剧，心里充满了对舞台的向往，然后情不自禁地流泪，至今我仍然觉得小成本音乐剧的成功典范就应该参考它，绝妙。
