The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 回想流泪的点，不为任何一段故事情节，而是为看新闻和在剪抗疫宣传片时看过无数次的那些画面，武汉空城，拥挤的医院，昼日昼夜的消杀，解封那一刻…精致的桥段刻意的煽情在这些面前显得那么渺小，真实自有万钧之力。
屁屁被切掉的女主——坐着吃饭；丁丁被咬掉的男主——以一打三；逃离魔窟的女主——独自回去拿手机；唯一有点脑子的酒保小哥，听到枪声就跑。
人们常说除却生死无大事，但生与死真的是大事吗？云涛消散后，天堂与地狱都化为乌有，唯独宇宙永恒。
疫情，虽然很难。但是我们可以治愈自己。
太浪费时间了，在电影院里疯狂后悔，我干嘛要来看这个？真是吃撑了有点。
刚开始还是小清新恋爱片，到了中间画风急转，变成了惊悚片，这转折也太夸张了，不太能接受。惊悚的场面不少，但可看的看点不多，剧情bug也不少，最后的大乱斗比较平庸，属于本片败笔了。最大的看点还是塞包塑造的这个邪恶中带着点天真无知的反派，属实是过于迷人了。
【6.5】第一幕是浪漫爱情片，第二幕开始进入恐怖片的氛围。塞包难得演回反派，女主像是无耻里大姐的演员Emmy Rossum和Anne Hathaway的结合体。

耐过着世途的阴影和风景，
就是说朱一龙和贾玲……太尬了，类似不能理解的情节还有不少。最大的问题还是配音用力过猛，配乐也过于努力了。
非常好👍大灾面前的小人物，平凡温馨感人，这就是电影的意义吧，造梦者～
有研究证明，猪在恐惧中死去，肉质会变差，如果能在音乐中，快乐的死去，不会改变肉的味道。估计男主也想让这些“食物”能够快乐一点，新鲜一点。没想到最后玩大了。
今年最好吃的电影，生吃+前程似锦的女孩，既没有哗众取宠式的贩卖猎奇元素，也不是挂羊头卖狗肉的跟风之作。比起传统的B级血浆，更文艺、更轻盈、更娓娓道来。前半段的剪辑和剧情推进很不错，后半段相对拖沓。女主逃出来也没有想象的那么高智商，不过也可以理解。可惜这么好的食材终究还是错付给了外国匮乏的烹饪方式，若是换成咱这……
汉尼拔圈子的供应商，真有奉献精神你们可以互相吃啊，哦，不吃男的，尤其是老了的。挺喜欢这姑娘的，漂亮可爱，看着也有些眼熟。跳的舞挺有趣的呀，男女主颜值挺过关，后面还以为把朋友吃掉了呢。值得夸的是这部戏里的女性角色都很镇定，聪明勇敢。
虽然说摄影、音乐整的挺不错，俊男靓女很养眼，还狠狠地嘲讽了一下部分男性，但是对于这个老套的故事远远不够……
我们叶老师又是白月光，看得我很是揪心，本片基调真的非常温暖。
片中充满着诗意的美好，也把那段岁月中人性的光芒折射了出来。
有段时间时间没看这么细腻的电影了，真不错。
导演处女作，很多运镜和配乐啥的还蛮有个人风格的，384好适合这样的角色啊
